Locksmith Paris 13th arrondissement
The 13th is the arrondissement of towers: Les Olympiades, Italie 13, 1960s–70s estates with Vigik-controlled lobbies and original multi-point locks that need adjusting more often than replacing. Alongside them, the Butte-aux-Cailles has kept its small houses and timber doors, and the national library has brought new-build along the Seine.

What the local building stock actually changes
The 13th is the arrondissement of large estates: Les Olympiades, Italie 13, 1960s–70s towers on original multi-point locks. On that hardware, jamming almost always comes from a dropped door or misaligned linkage rather than a dead mechanism.
That matters financially: reaching straight for a full replacement costs several hundred euros where an adjustment would do. We diagnose before proposing, every time.

How a call-out works
- 1
You call or message
Describe the door and the situation. On the phone, or in writing on WhatsApp, you get the price of the job and a realistic arrival time for your street — not an unverifiable promise.
- 2
The tradesperson comes and assesses
On site they check the lock type and the state of the door, confirm the least destructive method available, and have the amount agreed before touching anything.
- 3
Work, invoice and guarantee
The job is done, tested in front of you, and billed at the agreed amount. The invoice itemises hardware and labour — the document your insurer or landlord will ask for.
What doesn't change, whatever the area
On site in under 30 minutes, depending on the area
Someone sets off the moment you call — day or night, weekends and public holidays included.
The amount is settled on the phone
You know what you'll pay before anyone travels, and that is the figure you settle once the job is done.

Frequently asked questions
My multi-point lock is sticking — repair or replace?
Diagnosis first. When a single point stops engaging, the cause is nearly always mechanical: a dropped door, misaligned keeps, linkage needing adjustment. Repair costs a fraction of replacement, and we only propose a new lock if the mechanism is genuinely finished.
The lobbies use Vigik — is that a problem?
No. We attend with the occupant present, or with the caretaker for common areas. The Vigik badge is managed by the landlord or the agent: we handle the locks, not the access system.
My multi-point lock won't close — repair or replacement?
A repair is often enough. On estate doors, jamming usually comes from an adjustment or misaligned linkage rather than a dead mechanism. The tradesperson diagnoses it before proposing a replacement, which costs more.
The lobbies use Vigik — can you still get in?
Yes. We attend by appointment with the occupant or caretaker, and we can also work on the lobby door itself for the building. The Vigik badge system is managed by the residence, not by us.
